Introduction
25 Y/ Male Patient with pain in the back; MRI revealed infective spondylodiscitis at D12-L1 level.
Procedure details:
CT-guided aspiration of the left psoas abscess in a prone position under local anesthesia.
Introducer needle used: 18G spinal needle ;
No complications post procedure.
The patient tolerated the procedure well. 3 cc of thick pus was aspirated from the collection
Microorganism identified: Mycobacterium tuberculosis on GenXpert.
